May 21, 2023 (Shanghai) — AVATR 11 embraced the second major OTA (Over-the-Air) upgrade after its launch, which will be pushed to all users in a gradual rollout. The software upgrade is identified as AVATR.OS 1.2.0, including 24 novel functions and 30 optimized main experience and tons of improved details align to users’ feedback. Due to the upgrade, the intelligent cabin, human-car interaction, visual impression, safety, and other items have been starkly fresh up. It has only been 50 days since AVATR 11’s first OTA upgrade, which boasts the apex competence of AVATR Technology in the intelligent field.

Thorough visual and interactive upgrade

The OTA upgrade sets eyes on the visual impression and its relative functions. Entering into the cabin, the whole new “Lime Green Theme” on the infotainment screen pops out which echoes with brand signature color; it’s page layout and icons express bright and dynamic feel through elaborated arrangement. At the same time, a three-dimensional car model based on the 3D engine has also been successfully launched. Users can control the opening and closing of the door, hood, tailgate and charging port cover by clicking the touch points of the three-dimensional model, achieving an efficient, convenient, and technologically friendly human-car interaction.


For map interaction, the optimized map in the digital gauge presents richer navigation information, and the central control map enables to adjust the terrain ratio, status and location which further meets users’ induvial requirement; once the car has received the location sent from WeChat, Gaode Map or AVATR APP, the driving route would be structured immediately on the screen to realize a seamless reaction, offering an extremely convenient driving experience to users. Last but not least, the overall optimized navigation system could provide the charging pillar screening and searching function, and it will also actively guide the user to recharge when the power is low to arrive at the destination.


For different scenarios, the HALO screen, unprecedently created by AVATR Technology, carries more abundant information display strength, for example in charging scenarios, the HALO screen can present the current charging status through 4 different dynamic effects; when giving way to pedestrians or temporary parking to pick up people, the HALO screen will also show a unique way of interaction outside the car by displaying relevant dynamic effects. In addition, the OTA upgrade also adds new functions such as air-conditioning setting display, maintenance due reminder and lyrics display, placing users in a relaxed and handy mobility environment.

Head to toe convenience and safety greet more scenario options

In light of in-depth and detailed users’ mobility study, AVATR Technology has handed to users a number of new tangible functions through the OTA upgrade, such as Pet Mode, Sentry Mode, and Car Refrigerator in terms of safety, convenience, and fan, further explored more vehicle application scenarios.

After user activates the Pet Mode and leaves the car to lock the car, the windows and air conditioning will automatically close and turn on respectively, and hardware features that are prone to accidental touch will be disabled to prevent pets from accidentally touching to ensure their safety; at the same time, the central control screen and HALO screen will show pet safety status information to prevent passersby from mistakenly thinking that the pets have been forgotten in the car, which can lead to window damage and property damage. In addition, user will constantly receive reminder messages from the AVATR APP after Pet Mode is initiated. When the battery level drops to 20%, Pet Mode will automatically be turned off and sends a message reminding user to return to the car as soon as possible; at the same time, the windows will automatically lower by 10% to make certain that fresh air flow into the car.


After user turns on the Sentry Mode, the alarm would be triggered through image and lighting if the system detects unusual car entrance or abnormal vehicle vibration, and the surrounding environment would be recorded by vehicular sensor; meanwhile, the system will also send an alarm through APP to users to make sure the ride and property safety to the utmost.


For camping enthusiastic users, AVATR has introduced the official car refrigerator, which users can operate through the central control screen and AVATR APP after purchasing. The car refrigerator can achieve a wide range of temperature from -18 ℃ to 6 ℃, with a steady-state power of only 45W, providing an excellent cooling performance while reducing energy consumption; even if users lock and leave the car, they can remotely turn on the refrigerator and set the working time through the APP, up to 24 hours. In addition, the refrigerator will automatically undergo ultraviolet sterilization for 6 minutes every time it is turned on, guaranteeing a clean and hygienic environment.


As to frequently used functions, the OTA upgrade has also polished tones of details. After the upgrade, the 360-degree imaging system will automatically be activated when driving on tight lanes, and multiple speed interaction buttons have been added to the vehicle's dropdown menu to further optimize voice recognition ability and exterior rearview mirror adjustment function. The recognition accuracy of intelligent driving sensors will be greatly optimized, bringing users a more comfortable driving experience in a gentle tech approach.

On May 15th, the City NCA (Navigation Cruise Assist) early access has expanded to allow more users in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou to enjoy the advanced intelligent driving package service for life, which will soon be launched by phases. The “City ICA (Intelligent Cruise Assist)” has been renamed as "City (Lane Cruise Assist)” and has recently been upgraded to be a free feature, gradually activated according to the adaptation of various urban roads. In addition, AVP (Valet Parking Assist) will soon start to push in a gradual rollout.
